Rebirth

I am

a cocoon

wrapped in darkness

feeling parts of myself

that I treasured

fade away

to make room

for new parts of me

I am still learning of

waiting for the day

my patience

has paid off

and I finally

emerge into

the light

as someone

entirely new

for I swear to God
