A Life of Bounty

this day comes once:

a gift unwrapped

by the dawning sun

as it declares

all is new

in a reality

of ever-unfolding intricacy

that is a mere shadow

of a fantastic world

beyond our comprehension:

an endless corridor

of uncountable doors

leading to golden fleeces

hidden for your find

on your many quests

as you explore the mythical kingdom

you wake in today

for your life

is an odyssey

and your world

is beautiful

this day comes once:

a gift unwrapped

by the dawning sun

as it declares

all is new

in a world of galaxies

of inestimable value

each existing between earrings

housed in skulls

inside which lays infinite complexity:

galaxies upon galaxies

of thoughts, memories, and dreams

circling each other

In the dance of conciseness –

how lofty is your honor

that you get to serve

an entire universe

a unique reformation

of all creation

in another’s mind

in a way

only you

and you alone

can

for your purpose is cosmic

your heart is unique

and there is beauty

in all those around you

this day comes once:

a gift unwrapped

by the dawning sun

as it declares

all is new

in a world

where your soul is an ocean

whose sea bed

expands as you dive deeper

revealing treasures

of every variety

and creatures

of every kind

waiting to meet you

if only we have the courage

to hold our breath

and plunge into the unknown

and spare ourselves the tragedy

of floating on the surface

of our sentience

never journeying below

the waves of passing thoughts

until its contents evaporate

for your soul

is every-expansive

your mind

is beautiful

how blessed am I

to be a star

of inarticulable worth

tet who is, also like a star,

merely a grain of sand

in the beach of the universe

for I am a farmer,

as much as I am a king.

how blessed am I

how unworthy I am

to be granted such grace

as to exist as an ever-expanding being

of inestimable value

whose purpose is cosmic

whose life is an odyssey

whose honor is to chart a world

of incomprehcnive grandeur

yet is also have the title

of being meek and humble

before an entity

greater than myself

being merely dust

compared to Them
