Envy

trapped

in my pain

I looked

outwards

to those

around me

so unaware

of how lucky

they were

and as I watched

all their lives

evolve and unfold

while mine stopped

all I could do

was look up

at the sky

watching the clouds

drift wherever

their hearts desired

and just wish that

I too

were a cloud
