Passing

and should the fire consume me

may I be a candle

burning in the darkness

giving all of me

to brighten this world

until I flicker

and outgrow my wick

self-immolating

and becoming the light Itself

dissipating into the universe

as goodness

as kindness

as a wave of warmth

becoming more diluted

as it expands

throughout the void

losing my identity

but always remaining

so know that

even when I am

no longer on Earth

that I will be with you

watching over you

dor whatever is left of me

I give it to the world

let my deeds be martyrs

and let their only cause

be servitude

to the natural flow

of reality

yours eternally,

Vadi
